One (revised) | Kaytlen Bennett

One wakes in the midst of many,
as the morning breaks.
Brothers rise together,
for another day of work.
One moves and the rest follow,
the day has begun.
The lines begin forming,
their minds already made for them.
One looks up into a sky of green,
but still marches on.
Thick blades of grass form dense forests,
surrounding the opening into the labyrinth below.
One thought shared by all others,
must follow- must work.
For Queen and fellow brother,
food found, is food shared.
One life of one endless day,
no changes allowed.
On and on the years fly,
simple, empty, and monotone.
One day of living alone,
in a world of many.
